T-Shirts!

I'm smiling. Buy a shirt and you'll be smiling too (or smiling more, since I know you are a cheerful person already). Not only are these shirts going to look good on you, they are going to look great on my kids. Send an email to sean.asanowicz.omalley@gmail.com with your size (Youth Small to 2XL), whether you want Green or Slate, address and quantity. Then you can click the Donate button and send your payment through Paypal. Each shirt costs $30. You will actually be buying two t-shirts, one for you and one for a camper!

These shirts will be given to the children on Friday, July 12, the last day of camp. The love you show by purchasing a shirt will help spur the love for science we are striving to instill in each child. For every order, an email will be sent to you after camp with the group photo and a picture of the child who you purchased a shirt for. Our goal is to sell 70 shirts, one for each kid and one to thank each awesome volunteer.

International shipping is always tricky and I want to make sure the shirts arrive with enough time for the children to receive them.

Why Donate?

In a later post I will put up the awesome t-shirt designs and you will have the chance to order t-shirts. I am super excited for all of you to wear the camp shirts in America and be able to proudly tell your friends what good your purchase did. The expense of camp though won't be covered by the purchase of t-shirts. 

I have tried to get funding within South Africa but people are reluctant to donate to projects to young age groups citing the lack of impact it would have. As a former 1st and 2nd grade teacher and longtime camp counselor, I know the importance of early intervention.

We will need to buy food for 5 days for the children, pay the local cooks and supplies for experiments. We hope to raise $400 to cover the cost of camp operations. Any size donation will greatly benefit the camp. Please just use the Paypal link. Thanks!
